Garfield Refining Makes Second Donation of N95 Masks to Philadelphia FIGHT to Help in Battle against COVID-19

Garfield Refining, a leading precious metal refinery located in North Philadelphia, has donated a second round of N95 Masks to Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers, a nonprofit organization actively caring for patients during the COVID-19 crisis. Garfield’s donation provides much-needed PPE to help combat the novel Coronavirus throughout the winter when virus cases are expected to surge throughout the U.S.

Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers is a nonprofit dedicated to providing culturally competent, comprehensive primary care and state-of-the-art HIV and Hepatitis C primary care to low-income community members. Philadelphia FIGHT also provides research, consumer education, advocacy, social services, and outreach to Philadelphians living with HIV, Hepatitis C, and others at high risk.

Garfield Refining has now provided nearly 500 N95 Masks to Philadelphia FIGHT. A portion of these masks will be earmarked for FIGHT Family Dentistry, which provides comprehensive and emergency dental treatment for at-risk and low-income community members, including throughout the pandemic. Garfield Refining provides refining services to dental practices, dental labs, and dental service organizations recycling dental scrap.

Garfield Refining is supplying the masks for staff at FIGHT to help reduce the spread of novel Coronavirus and ensure access to high-quality medical and dental care for Philadelphians who need it most during these challenging times. Garfield plans to supply masks to additional dental practices throughout the winter.

Family-owned and operated since 1892, Garfield began in Philadelphia and has been located in the city for more than a century. The company has deep ties to the Philadelphia community and believes in supporting local charitable causes and improving the “City of Brotherly Love,” especially during difficult times.
